The Harbordale School Association (HSA) is a group of parents, teachers and staff who support our school through Membership and a variety of efforts. We have an Executive Board and many committee and event Chair people. Membership dues for a family are $10 per year. We budget and then raise money each year which is spent on reading and math programs, computers and computer programs as well as many other school essentials. We purchase daily agendas for each student and have purchased in excess of 30 iPads for the school. We fund special assemblies on the Harbordale campus as well as providing field trips and the buses. Most recently, through the collaborative efforts of our parents and members of the community, we raised funds for a new playground, including installation.
HSA’s efforts help fill the gap between what is provided by the School Board and what it takes to create a stimulating learning environment. We have many great fundraisers and family activities throughout the year.
The communication process begins with becoming a member of HSA. We encourage EVERY family to become a HSA Member. Your family will not only get special status as a member, but you also obtain the ability to vote on our many issues, including programing and financial issues. We are proud to have 100% teacher participation as HSA Members!!
We have monthly meetings on Thursday mornings at 8am in the school Media Center. We communicate with HSA Members by email, phone calls, and here through our website.
